Photography became a visual form of self-expression that I began to explore back in 2008. I experimented with a second hand Nikon FM2 film camera I purchased from eBay and spent hours during my early recovery days experimenting with various types of colour and back and white film, various techniques, as well as engaging in different photographic communities online. I grew more passionate about the world of photography. I spent more and more time dreaming about lenses, hues, image aesthetics and shooting than I did doing anything else, until eventually I enrolled in a part time evening course at my local college in summer of 2011. It was during this course when I realised that I could not imagine spending my days doing anything else but photography – it was around this time that this blog was born.
Eight years on, I am now a Portrait, Lifestyle and Food Photographer. For me, photography is not only the best form of self expression and self-healing but also the best job in the world.
